July already?

Are you sure?

I had good intentions of keeping my blog active, keeping up with my Etsy orders, the children, the housework, etc.
Well here I am, like my baby daughter, better late than never!

Since Tamara's birth, there has been another exciting addition to our family.... We are the proud tenants of a lovely new allotment plot. The weeds have been cleared, the ground turned over, a friendly toad re-homed and we are ready to plant. If we can get this right, we should cut £50 to £80 from our weekly shopping in addition to enjoying family fun outside - priceless :)

Today marked Nicholas' first official step on the road to starting school, from September he will join Michael in full-time education at Irlam Endowed Primary School
. Today was the "Family Dinner" event where we were able to join the children and share their school meal.
This is a fantastic initiative and is an opportunity for everyone to get to know each other as the children are introduced to their new surroundings. The next step will be a visit to the Nursery Class next week.

Time Flies When ...

You're having fun - yes.

You're waiting for baby to finally decide that today might just be the day - no!

Having done the birth 'thing' three times already, you would think that I would have developed the patience of a saint and be an expert in waiting by now. Ah well, I'm only human :)

I even made a checklist of things to do before baby puts in an appearance which has helped to pass the time a little. So far I have partially completed one item on my checklist - knit up a stock of new items for my Etsy store. Once that is completed, I will try to get around to packing an emergency bag, finding the crib, buying nappies etc....

While I am waiting, I have promised myself that I will make time to finish writing out some of my patterns so watch this space for a cute crochet summer hat for toddlers which is first on my list.
